Gente del Este / Eastern People

We are not used to see people fron Far East everyday. Sometimes we see a bus with plenty of japanesse taking photographs to everything around. But we do not understand their life very well. For example, I didn't know there were still some christian communities un Korea. I have heard a Spanish missionaire in Korea (many years ago) the disappointing task of being christian in Eastern countries. They are not well received there. So the fact of seeing a christian korean here with us.. is really surprising (because she was a real pilgrim... not a tourist). She walked like mad. According to some other pilgrims she was incredibly strong and.. easy going woman. And here we had another man from the east: a man form the Philippine Islands. He is living in Canada but his parents went to live there after the Civil War and he was born in there. Basque country ancestors. Really curious. He manages perfect English and Spanish. And here we are.
Now is when you are totally sure that the world is round...
May the Camino help people to be non racist.
